Brug

Gerrit Rietveld once replied, when asked if his chairs were art, ‘sometimes art escapes’. With Sander van Deurzen sometimes a painting escapes and, with this bridge takes the form of an every day object. This work is from the series‘A painting escapes’, canvas and wood structure that crosses a small ditch at the atelier complex Nieuw en Meer, 2024. 08.09.24 – 01.12.24.
